Parkside Nursery - Our Story

A Lifelong Passion Of Rose Growing

Bob Hart's abiding dedication to Rose growing can be traced back to 1959 where as a youngster he learnt many nursery skills with the Yates family at nearby Plumley.   He ventured forward to form his own business in 1966 with 1,000 Briars and a range of stock.  Twelve months later Parkside Nursery was established at the very site Roses are grown today, close to historic Knutsford in the Cheshire countryside.

In 1981 additional land was purchased close to the Nursery to boost growing capacity following increasing demand from both wholesale and retail customers.  Bob's son, Mark, joined the business around 1992 after completing a "Hardy Nursery Stock" City & Guilds, passing with flying colours having learnt many skills from his dad through his teenage years.

With over 80 years combined experience of working with Roses Bob and Mark have vast specialist knowledge and understanding of Roses and Rose growing.  Parkside Nursery is also one of the longest established members of the British Association of Rose Breeders & Growers (BARB).

It is therefore of little surprise that their Roses remain in strong demand both from wholesale and retail customers.  You can be confident in buying from true experts in their field.
